Mission

In using 3D printing technology, we create 3D family portraits for members of the blind community. By doing so, we increase inclusivity and accessibility when it comes to capturing memory and identity. With our portraits we seek to improve the overall mental, emotional, and familial well-being of those who are blind. From a research perspective, we aim to evaluate the emotional responses of families and characterize the emotional and physical health of those with impaired vision in response to our portraits. Thus, our research can enhance awareness for the overall well-being of the blind and how inclusive innovations improve this.
